Guide for Authors

Papers should contain an Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, References, Acknowledgement (if you want), and Arabic abstract.

Abstract: Should not exceed 300 words and provides the purpose of the research, the main findings, and the main conclusions. It should be clear without referring to the paper itself. Non-standard abbreviations should be avoided, but if necessary, they should be specified at the first mention of them in the abstract itself. Measurement units should be from the International System of Units (SI). 

Keywords: About 5 keywords and separate them with commas. Introduction: Provides the objective of the investigation and a summary statement of relevant previous work with references.

Materials and Methods: Described or published methods must have adequate references

Results and Discussion: can be separated or combined.

Conclusion: Should not simply repeat the points made in the previous sections but a summary of results and suggested recommendations. 

Acknowledgment: It must be in limited circumstances.

Table and Figures: Should be displayed on separate pages in the manuscript after the reference section. Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively in accordance with their appearance in the text. Tables are captioned on top of the table body and place any table notes below the table body with proper indications of the contents in the table body (if needed). Figures are captioned at the bottom of the figures. Scanned or digital photographs should be in high resolution.

References: Must be listed at the end of the paper, with the names of authors arranged alphabetically, the full title of articles and journals, the publisher, and the year.

Citation in text: the author’s name (Single, without initials) and the year of publication or names and the year of publication for two authors but for more authors: first author’s name followed by ‘et al.’ and the year of publication. Groups of references should be listed chronologically according to the year of publication. Examples as clear (Amin et al., 2005; Davide and Siu, 2007).

Ahmed et al. (2000) have recently studied…). The title of the paper should be written in the form of lower-case with a capitalization of the first word in Bold Times New Roman in font size18, also, Subtitles and author names are written in Times New Roman in font size 14, and the text in the same type in size 12.

Research paper words should not exceed 7,500 words.

  • Institute researchers: 1500 LE
  • Other researchers: 2000 LE
  • 250 U$ for non-Egyptians.
